The TWEET Saga Continues: Omotola Jalade now involved
Angry fan's message to 2face for having his wedding in dubia
Now Read the letter below...
"I never knew or comprehend that Mr 2face Innocent Idibia had this spirit of wickedness in him. We have been encouraging him even when he was nothing till now that he felt that he has arrived.
2Face, We all bought every CD you have ever released, paid for all the shows you performed, devout our time to listen to all your songs, even when the songs may not meet out expectations, as an encouragement we continued to listen to them.
Yet you didn't show us appreciation. 2Face, Let me ask you a question. How many Arabs have bought your CDs or listen to your any of your songs? Annie Macaulay's parents are not Arabs as to say you chose Arabland because of proximity to her parents.
With your spirit of wickedness, you carry your wedding to Dubai so that Nigerian fans will not eat rice or cake or drink your mineral or even our local beer. You know for sure that most of your fans can't afford the ticket to Dubai.
You denied your fans who bought and paid for your CDs and shows the generational opportunity to see a glimpse of your wedding, because you are sure that WE fans are not important. Nigeria is not good enough to host a celebrity wedding?
Tomorrow your friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry who are natural Copy-cats will join the trend of wasting our Foreign Exchange in countries that see Nigerians as nobody.
Well, let me tell you, get ready to sell your next album in Dubai, perform all your new shows in Arab, with new found Arab fans, as For me, I will not buy or patronise your music ever, again.
Though it is certain that you are so wicked to us, but we will only forgive you on two conditions:-
1] Apologise to Nigerians for refusing to create History in Our Land.
2] You must take up a campaign to your copy-cat friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry to learn how to appreciate, patronise Nigeria and Thinking Nigeria, First. – Amina Umar

"Shut up and move on with your boring life" Wizkid blasts fan over Banky W.
On that faithful day so many birthday wishes and messages continued to pour in from fans, friends, and followers on the various social media platforms especially twitter but this is probably the best of them - Wizkid's. Wizkid despite his alleged issues with the E.M.E deemed it fit to wish his former boss a happy birthday by tweeting a "Happy birthday bro" shout out, however, a fan decided to piss him off by asking "Lool. Bro?! Since when?" and Wizkid immediately slammed him with "thats my bro..so shut up nd move on with ur boring life"
Awwwwww...
The mystery behind kim k's "Nigeria is disgusting" tweet...
However I began to have my doubts when the buzz was becoming too much - so I carried out my personal investigation to verify the twitter handles and yes I found that Kim Kardashian didn't tweet the rubbish, it's all LIES!
At some point when the culprit in question realized that he/she was almost busted (smart tweeps found that the 'supposed' Kim Kardashian handle wasn't verified as against the original handle) he came up with another fake kim kardashian handle that was verified, lolz! You better fear hackers!! ...anyways you guys should chillax, Kim Kardashian loves Nigeria and she never said "Nigeria is such a disgusting country. I couldn't wait to leave. lol Scott said their women look like apes, and I agree."
Lol :)

Keshi Snubs Yobo Again, Recalls Emenike, Kalu
Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, has for the second consecutive time left out captain of the team, Joseph Yobo, from the 30-man list he released Thursday.
Nigeria has close to 10 high profile matches including Confederations Cup and 2014 World Cup qualifiers to prosecute between May and mid-July.
After being left out of the World Cup qualifier against Kenya in Calabar last month, Yobo felt he was not accorded the respect of a senior national team captain and voiced his resentment for such treatment. With 94 caps, Yobo holds the most caps for a Nigeria international and he has said Keshi has been "disrespectful" to him.
Just Thursday morning, NFF President, Aminu Maigari made spirited attempts to end the row.
"This is a highly untoward development and the NFF and entire Nigeria football family are disturbed. Less than two months ago, we lifted the Africa Cup of Nations in a blaze of glory, and this was made possible by hard-work and team-work in an atmosphere of peace, unity and tranquillity.
"The recent exchange of words between Coach Keshi and Captain Yobo is worrisome, at a time that we have so many important matches and major competition (FIFA Confederations Cup Brazil 2013) ahead of us. I have ordered the Chairman of Technical Committee and his members to immediately intervene and restore sanity," Maigari said Thursday.
However, Keshi recalled midfield ace, Kalu Uche after 16 months in the international wilderness. Top scorer of the 29th Africa Cup of Nations, Emmanuel Emenike, returns to the fold a spell on the sideline due to injuries copped in South Africa 2013.
The African champions have a high-profile friendly against CONCACAF champions Mexico in Houston, Texas, USA on the last day of May, before two World Cup qualifying matches in Nairobi and Windhoek that come before the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup tournament in Brazil.
Nigeria play Tahiti, Uruguay and Spain in Brazil but will play two more games if they advance to the knock-out stage, before returning to Africa for a 2014 African Nations Championship qualifying fixture against Cote d'Ivoire.
Keshi's list include; Vincent Enyeama, John Mikel Obi, Efe Ambrose, Godfrey Oboabona, Ahmed Musa and Victor Moses. Dark horses John Ogu, Michael Babatunde and Anthony Ujah all made their way back to the team after their debut in Calabar.
There are four goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders and 11 strikers.
According to NFF's Assistant Director (Media), Ademola Olajire, the delegation of 12 home-based players and technical/backroom staff will depart Abuja for the training camp in Nuremberg, Germany on May 15 while the overseas-based professionals are expected to join the team in Germany as their various Leagues come to an end.
"Players in Russia, Ukraine and Norway may only join the team for the matches against Kenya and Namibia, and for the FIFA Confederations Cup tournament," stressed Olajire Thursday.
The Squad:
Goalkeepers: Vincent Enyeama (Maccabi Tel Aviv, Israel); Austin Ejide (HapoelBe'erSheva, Israel); ChigozieAgbim (Enugu Rangers, Nigeria); Daniel Akpeyi (Heartland FC, Nigeria)

Achebe's Farewell to Nigeria and Biafra.
ONE was not too sure if the foremost literary stylist from Nigeria and Africa foresaw his passing on so soon? With his most recent slightly vituperative literary outing titled, There Was A Country, a literary-cum-historical bombshell on the Nigerian civil war in which he lampooned the persons of certain key figures of the fratricidal bloodbath such as Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the vice chairman of the Gowon regime who propounded the theory that starvation was a legitimate weapon of war and General Yakubu Gowon, whom he accused of spearheading a genocide against the Igbos.
The author of the celebrated novel, Things Fall Apart and the number one in the African Writers Series. That novel which was written in the late fifties became an instant classic. It was based essentially on Igbo culture and the predictable conflicts they had with the coming of the White Colonial Masters. It was a book that turned out to be a world beater and enshrined his name in letters of gold. As a writer with a very sensitive use of the English Language, he largely popularised the use of Igbo proverbs in every chapter of his breath-taking and enthralling novel, especially the unforgettable: "Proverbs are the palm oil with which words are eaten"
After that he came out with several other novels like No longer at Ease in 1960, The Arrow of God in 1964; A Man of the People in 1966 and his later day novel Anthhills in the Savanah' and his not too successful book of poetry titled Beware Soul Brother capturing the civil war years during which the Biafran girls were deliberately put on the war front to lure sex-starved federal troops to their sudden death through amorous relationships with the soldiers.
After relocating to the United States during the war, he committed his enormous talents and skills to propaganda purposes on behalf of the Republic of Biafra, using the Radio Biafra and other channels.
One was old enough to listen to the golden voice of the ace broadcaster from CrossRiversState, the late Okokon Ndem, who read powerful and emotion-laden news talks against Nigeria.
If you listened then to the Radio Biafra, a kind of roving radio, the Republic of Biafra won the war in the airwaves while the federal troop gained the upper hand on the killing fields of Abagana and Ulli Ihiala. Chinua Achebe's attempt to join the political stage was a disaster as he pitched tent with the late Mallam Aminu Kano's Peoples Redemption Party, PRP. It was during those trips to Kano that he had the accident that disabled him and consigned him to a wheel chair for the better part of 42 years.
When he came out with his There Was A Country, many Nigerians from the Yoruba ethnic nationality reacted in anger to the bombshell against their demi- god, Papa Awolowo.
They accused Achebe of suffering from senility and argued vociferously that if ever there was a friend of the Igbos, it was the Yorubas as Pa Awo reportedly went to the East to persuade Ojukwu to abandon his secessionist ambition, and declaring that if the East was allowed to go, the West would follow suit.
For 42 odd years, Chinua Achebe had carried the burden on his soul. And perhaps, foreseeing the end was near, he decided to ruffle the political waters of his former country Nigeria by refusing National Honours of CFR twice and decided to stay put in America, his adopted father- land.
For most of us who had missed his creative prowess for these many years, the motor accident he was involved in symbolically truncated his creative Muse and those of other budding writers who had made their marks in the African Writers Series which he founded.
There Was A Country was sufficiently emotive for him as he lamented not only the loss of Biafra during the war, but also the loss of Nigeria in which he was perhaps, No longer at Ease with. Before he died recently, he eventually came to terms with the failed Biafra and Nigeria. If Achebe had called many more Nigerians names for the misfortune of the Igbos in Nigeria, we should forgive him because writers are generally idealistic and illusionists, writing from the realms of fantasy and some bit of propaganda.
That last testimony to the Biafran war, to me, was a belated application to return to fatherland. On the flip side of the book, he must have regretted the fact that the country he fought for deploying his literary talents ended up in smoke, even if it lasted just 30 months before the walls of Biafra started cracking and falling. There Was A Country was the epitome of his literary cup of bitterness against his country. It is safe to assume that the ghastly accident he suffered cut short his prolific writing skills and subsequently fuelled his bitterness before he bowed out gracefully. And with the avalanche of testimonies and obituaries on this icon of the literary world, Achebe did not die, he merely but gloriously transited to the great beyond.
PHCN OBEYS COURT ORDER, REALEASE CONTRACT DETAILS.
POWER Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCNPOWER Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, has revealed the documents containing details of a World Bank-assisted contract for the supply and installation of High Voltage Distribution systems in Abuja, Lagos and Ibadan, in compliance with last month's order of an Abuja Federal High Court.
By a letter dated April 2, 2013, and signed by its General Manager, Project Monitoring Unit, PMU, Mr A.J. Ciroma, the PHCN forwarded a copy of the "Bid Evaluation Report containing all annexes" and a copy of the signed contract document to the Nigerian Contract Monitoring Coalition.
The coalition had made a request for them under the Freedom of Information Act and instituted the suit, following PHCN's earlier refusal to disclose them.
PHCN explained in the covering letter that "the contact sum, the conditions of contract, payment terms and number of required sectionalizers in each of the HVDS Networks are all contained in the signed contract document."
It also requested the Public and Private Development Centre, PPDC, which instituted the suit on behalf of the Nigerian Contract Monitoring Coalition, to forward its bank account details to PHCN to enable the company pay the N20,000 costs awarded against PHCN by the court.
In the suit instituted on its behalf by the PPDC on September 21, 2012, the coalition sought an order to compel PHCN and the Attorney General of the Federation to provide it with procurement information relating to Bid No. NGP-D2 for the supply of 300 units of 11 KV, 500A On-Load Sectionalizers for installation at the High Voltage Distribution System, HVDS, networks at Karu in Abuja; at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, in Lagos; in two other locations in Lagos, Ogba and Agege; as well as Challenge in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Besides the PPDC, which is the National Convener of the Coalition, other members include the Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE, Media Rights Agenda, MRA, the Centre for Organizational and Professional Ethics, COPE-AFRICA, and the Initiative for Environmental and Health Society, IFEHS.
PHCN had initially refused to provide any of the records and documents requested by the coalition under the Freedom of Information Act but later released some of them after Justice A.F.A.Ademolaof the Federal High Court in Abuja granted the coalition leave to institute the suit.
Surrogacy - Can You Carry Someone Else's Child?
Surrogacy is an arrangement in which a woman carries a pregnancy for another couple or person. It is gradually becoming a popular means of having a baby or creating a family in this country particularly amongst infertile couples. Couples opt for surrogacy when a woman has medical issues which makes pregnancy impossible or a risk. Gay couples also look for surrogates to have children for them.
Women who help couples to have babies by carrying the pregnancy and delivering the child are called Surrogates or surrogate mothers.
A Fertility Expert and Managing Director of Nordica Fertility Centre, Abuja, Dr Abayomi Ajayi said there are two types of Surrogacy. "They are traditional surrogacy and the IVF surrogacy. In traditional surrogacy, the surrogate mother is artificially inseminated with the sperm of the intending father, so she gets pregnant with her own eggs and that of the man who wants the baby as his wife cannot carry the child. The second type of Surrogacy can only happen through In vitro Fertilization (IVF). Here the eggs of the surrogate mother are not used. She is just a carrier, the egg and sperm of the commissioning couple or those donated by other people are fertilized through IVF and put in the person that is having the baby."
A woman can offer to be a surrogate for monetary gain called commercial surrogacy or for the sake of just helping someone in need such as a sister, daughter or friend. In the second part too there maybe exchange of money to pay for medical expenses during the pregnancy among others.
While some people may think Surrogacy is rarely practiced in Nigeria and only in the Western world, it is happening and only seems not common because some Couples and surrogates do not publicize it when they do. The secrecy associated with it is even fast disappearing as several Nigerian women are now registered with surrogacy websites and fertility clinics. On some popular international surrogacy sites like www.surrogatefinder.com there are profiles of hundreds of Nigerian women from different parts of the country, single or married alike and those who have children or have never had children before, calling on interested couples to hire them as surrogate mothers. Some of them specify they want to travel to any part of the world to be surrogate mothers.
Reasons they gave for wanting to be Surrogate mothers include bringing joy into childless homes by helping them to have children of their own, helping to stop divorce or break down of relationships as a result of childlessness, need money to take care of family issues or problems among others
Dr Abayomi said Surrogacy is happening in the country."We have quite a number of people doing surrogacy in Nigeria. Many people or women who cannot carry their own pregnancy and have no other options are doing Surrogacy. Especially women who have problems with their wombs or their Uterus is damaged, they need someone to carry the baby and so they go for surrogacy."
He said usually before surrogacy is carried out there is the signing of a legal agreement and the involvement of a lawyer. "It can't be done without a lawyer or legal agreement. When the child is born it can be taken way immediately by the intending couple or weeks after birth depending on what was signed in the agreement."
He said the advantage of Surrogacy primarily includes the fact that it helps people who cannot carry babies to carry a child through someone else and have their own child or children.
He said the disadvantage of the process is that things may go wrong for both parties that is the carrier or the couple needing the baby.
The Homefront went out to ask some women if they can be a surrogate mother.
Mrs Juliana Aboh, a 55 year old Civil Servant said right now she cannot carry another person's child because she feels she is old. But in her younger days she can be a surrogate for her children and siblings only and not anybody not related to her by blood, just to help them have a child.
Joy Amanabo, a Banker on her part said she cannot be a surrogate mother for any reason. "I can't stand the fact that I will carry a child in my womb for nine months going through stress and sickness and then the child will be taken away from me and I will not have any claims to the child. Even where it was not my eggs that was used but only my womb, the fact that the child has bond with me in the womb will make it painful to let go. Though the practice is really good and helps those who can't have children, the sacrifice involved on the part of the surrogate mother is too much and I commend those who do it. Especially women who allow their eggs to be used with the sperm of a donor or a man who is not their husband and then give the child to the man's wife to be the mother. I personally don't have the mind to do that."
Binta Mohammed, a journalist said she cannot be a surrogate mother. "I dislike taking drugs and injections even when I am sick not to talk of going through that ordeal in pregnancy just for someone else. What if I develop complication during and after the pregnancy. After birth because of what my body has been through, and the sickness and problems associated with pregnancy, I may not want to hand over the child, I might even run away with the child. And if I allow them to take the child, I will be traumatized. The suppressed breast milk and others signs after delivery may make me attached or have a bond with the baby, this will make me want to go and contact or see the baby and take care of him which is not allowed, so to avoid fighting with those people or the relative in question, I will rather not do it," she said.
Rita Obande, a Fashion Designer said she can do it out of pity for a couple who needs the child and on the promise that they will take proper care of the child once she surrenders it to them.
Azumi Jagaba, a Housewife said she cannot be a surrogate mother. "I will never do it for money and even for my relatives and infertile couples, no matter how I love or pity them rather I will continue to pray consistently to God to give them their own".
However, Amina Garba another Housewife said she can do it for a blood relative to remove tears from their eyes especially if their situation is very pathetic or the person is about losing her home and marriage.
Mono Abraham, a student said she can be a surrogate mother if the intending couples are well to do, have good character and potentials to take proper care of the child. "It is like helping someone in need and at the same time giving your blood a better life," she said.

There are a number of people who have doubted that Janet would be choosing such a quite life for herself. It has been said so as Janet has always lived a controversial life since childhood. She was always scrutinized by critics as well as by gossip columnists.
